Hanging Baskets The key to healthy and full looking baskets is to trim them back when they get too "leggy." Even though the flowers are beautiful, trimming them will keep them looking their best. When it comes to watering, we at Petals & Produce go by the weight of the basket: if it's heavy we do not water it and if it's not heavy we do water it. If you've accidently let it wilt, you will have to water it twice (i.e. water it and then water it again a few minutes later.
